Welcome to Little Possums Play House

Little Possums Play House is a Child care centre for 1 to 5 year olds. It has been inspired by a range of philosophies including Maria Montesorri, Rudolf Steiner and Robert Owen. It is designed to provide an environment which gives children the opportunity to imagine, create, explore and learn through structured and unstructured play.

We focus on four key themes, rhythm, repetition, security and continuity that are very important in the daily life of a child.

Rhythm and repetition help children feel safe and familiar. Children feel secure in knowing what is coming next.Communication is a strong foundation for all involved; the doors of Little Possums are always open, encouraging parents and family to participate & explore through a wide range of experiences. We have an advisory committee of parents and experienced educators to assist us by providing advice on our operations and programs

Little Possums has created in this old home with high ceilings and wide verandahs a wide range of experiences in this unique child care facility. It has the feel of Grandma and Grandpa's house and back yard where children experience the daily routines of a traditional family life. Our approach is one that places an emphasis on the value of play. It provides children with the opportunity to imagine, create and explore an environment that enriches each child's body, soul and spirit.
